A Mauston man is facing charges of Strangulation and Suffocation and Disorderly Conduct after an alleged domestic abuse on February 1st.  Authorities reported to a Pine Street residence due to a call about a fight that had been physical but was now just verbal.  A victim said she had got into an argument with a man after they had been out drinking.  She said she tried to leave but 31 year old Patrick Parkinson kept her from leaving.  She claimed Parkinson grabbed her from behind and pulled her down by the neck.  Authorities did not see any physical injuries to the victim.  Parkinson told authorities they had been arguing but he slipped on the ice and grabbed the victim to brace himself and did not mean to cause her any pain.
