Mauston man accused of selling stolen softball bats
A Mauston man has been charged with receiving stolen property, a felony. According to the criminal complaint, last year 23-year old Trevor Hannes allegedly sold several softball bats that had been reported stolen in 2010 from the New Lisbon Athletic Field Concession Stand. Hannes on two separate occasions had allegedly sold the bats to ‘Play It Again Sports’ in Lake Delton. When questioned by a New Lisbon Police Officer at his residence, Hannes went to the porch and handed the officer a bag containing eight bats. Hanness told the officer he had received the bats from a man, but refused to identify him and admitted selling the school softball bats for gas and bar money. A Friendship man, 23-year old Jamie Cridelich, has also been charged in Juneau County with receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. Cridelich allegedly accompanied Hannes during the second time the bats were sold at ‘Play It Again Sports’ and the two split the money. Both men are summoned to appear in court on November 28th, 2012.
