On Thursday night, during a special board meeting, the Village of Lyndon Station board members discussed budget reformatting and talked about updating the Capital Expenditure Plan. Village President David Klicko said the current budget format was not as clear and informative as it should be. The board talked about ways to improve the format, so it would be easier for residents and others to see where the village’s money comes from and where it is spent. With the Capital Expenditure Plan, things are moving forward. President Klicko said two years after establishing the plan was a good time to revisit it and update it. He said there isn’t a lot of extra money to spend and it was a good time to prioritize the things the village needed. President Klicko hopes to incorporate energy efficient lighting because he says it will help the village save money in the future, and  that money can be used toward improvements.
