Local Fraud Incident Leads to a City In Georgia
The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office has responded to an incident of fraud in the Township of Lyndon. The victim told the deputy that there had been fraudulent activity on his bank issued debit card. Last Thursday, he found three online purchases had been made with his debit card information. The victim contacted his bank and two of the three businesses have refunded the charges. Then, one of the businesses provided the purchaser’s information as a Rita Campell in Jesup, Georgia. The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office helped the victim by getting the Jesup Police Department contact information and will continue to look into the incident.
