A legally parked pickup in the City of Adams was struck twice within a few days.  Police said on Monday, July 8th, 2013 60-year old Gregory Rhinehart had parked his 2004 Chevy Silverado on East June Street when 56-year old Jeanette Olson of Grand Marsh had backed from a parking area near a day care center and struck the pickup.  Olson was cited for unsafe backing.  Then on Wednesday, July 10th, 2013, 24-year old Angela Veit of Adams, had parked in the same area near a day care center, backed up, and also struck the Rhinehart pickup.  Veit fled the scene without notifying the owner or police of the crash. Police located Veit several miles north of Adams.  Her vehicle had a broken taillight and green paint transfer on the bumper area of her 2003 Trailblazer.  She admitted fleeing because she did not have auto insurance.  Her fines totaled $853.50.
