Mauston City Administrator Nathan Thiel administered the Oath of Office for Canine Officer Kantor and his handler Officer Eric Sanner during the Mauston City Council Meeting Tuesday night.  Kantor has completed 160 hours of dual purpose training for the Mauston PD.  Officer Sanner told the Council, “Kantor had over a year of training before we got him from Germany this Spring.”  Officer Sanner and his family attended the Council meeting as Kantor took the Oath of Office and was presented with his K9 police shield.  Mauston Police Chief Mark Messer thanked the Peterson-Coughlin family for their $300 donation towards the K9 program and also thanked Officer Sanner for his fundraising efforts and the support from the community.
