Jury finds Necedah man guilty
Necedah man found guilty on all three counts. The three-day trial of 51-year old Douglas Fischer concluded Thursday night about 10:30pm. After several hours of deliberation, the 5-man 7-woman jury found Fischer guilty of sexual assault of a minor and the other two related charges. The jury heard closing arguments from Juneau County District Attorney Mike Solovey and Fischer’s defense attorney and started deliberations about 5pm. Following the guilty verdict, the court continued the cash bond and Fischer is to have no contact with the victim. Judge John Roemer ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Sentencing will be set at a later date.
