Juneau/Adams County WIC Program Open Desite Government Shutdown
contributed…”The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is still open for business in Wisconsin despite the federal government shutdown,” according to Barb Theis, Health Officer, Juneau County Health Department.
“Our clinic hours remain the same,” Theis said. “Families should keep their appointments at WIC offices and use their food checks at the store. We do not anticipate a delay or interruption in services at this time.” Farmers participating in the WIC and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, and local merchants and vendors, should not experience difficulty redeeming WIC vouchers.
Updates will be available at www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/wic. WIC families may also be able to receive updates by text or email by signing up for that option at the local WIC office. If you have any questions, please contact Juneau/Adams County WIC at 608-847-9375.
