Juneau County’s 7th traffic fatality in 2012
A Mauston woman died as a result of injuries received in a one-vehicle accident over the weekend. Juneau County Coroner Kathy Kohutko said, “Saturday morning about 10am 28-year old Terri Golden was a passenger in a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on 15th Avenue in the Town of Lemonweir. The vehicle went airborne and rolled. Both Golden and the driver, 31-year old Thomas Berning of Mauston, were ejected and injured. “Golden was initially transported to Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston and later med-flown to UW-Hospital in Madison where she died of massive internal injuries Saturday afternoon,” said Kohutko. The extent of Berning’s injuries are not known at this time.
