The Juneau County Board of Supervisors has approved a pay raise for all employees. During its meeting on Tuesday morning, the board approved an increase of 1.7 percent based on gross income. The Negotiating Committee brought forth the resolution after discussions with American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employee unions, which represent courthouse and highway personnel, and professional staff, agreed with the pay increase. This does not include limited term, temporary or seasonal employees and employees that work in the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department. According to Chairperson Alan Peterson, that’s because the Sheriff’s Department is still a union. The board approved the resolution with a vote of 18 to 2. The resolution will go into effect January 1st.
