Juneau and Adams County Fairest of the Fairs competed at the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fair competition this week: Alana Voss for Juneau County and Jacqui Hilliard for Adams County. Elroy’s Fairest of the Fair, Hana Weber also competed. They competed with 37 other women from around the state. In an email, a Juneau County Fair Board Director, Heidi Finucan said that Voss represented Juneau County very well and that her auction basket was one of the highest bid on baskets at the auction that helps fund the state fairest competition. Hilliard did very well in the competition, as she placed in the top ten after the interview process. Voss said in an email that the “overall experience was a highlight in itself. [They] had to step out of [their] comfort zones and learn new things all the while.”┬áThe 2014 Wisconsin Fairest of the Fair title went to Kaitlyn Riley from Crawford County. The competition was held at the Chula Vista Resort from Sunday, January 5 to Wednesday, January 8.
