Judge lifts bond condition
A Mauston man was in court Thursday afternoon for a bond modification hearing. 18-year old Chad Bevan was in court in custody without counsel. He requested to have contact with his co-defendant Tiffany Coleman. Both have been charged with burglary and theft of a snowmobile and power tools. Condition of bond is no contact with each other. Coleman was in the courtroom, not in custody and without counsel. Juneau County Judge John Roemer was flexible and agreed to an impromptu hearing for Coleman. Coleman requested contact with Bevan because they have a child in common and another one on the way. Judge Roemer lifted the ‘no contact’ condition of bond. Bevan is incarcerated on a $1000 cash bond.
