The Juneau County Health Department has been awarded a grant to help fund school-based dental services.  The Juneau County Seal-A-Smile Program has been awarded $5,582 from a statewide program that offers grants to local school-based dental sealant programs.  Since 2010, the Juneau County Seal-A-Smile Program has provided an estimated 288-students with preventive dental services and 603 students with dental education.  In the 2013-14 school year, students at Grayside, West Side, and Lyndon Station Elementary Schools in the Mauston School District, New Lisbon Elementary, Royall Elementary, Wonewoc-Center, St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran School, and Necedah Elementary School students will receive dental sealants.  Statewide, the program provides care to children in 59 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties.
