A Friendship man was uninjured when the SUV he was driving struck a tree.  The deputy said last Sunday afternoon, December 9th, 2012, 63-year old Jay Wikary was driving his Humvee north on County Road ‘Z’ near Buttercup Avenue in the Town of Monroe when the vehicle hit a patch of ice on a hill.  He couldn’t maintain control.  The SUV began swerving and struck a tree.
