Due to icy conditions, there have been several accidents in Juneau and Vernon County. Last night, there was a multiple vehicle accident that happened on Interstate 90 by Mauston. It blocked the eastbound lane for two hours. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, there were no injuries in that accident. In Vernon County, there was a single vehicle injury accident last night. The accident occurred on South Glass Road in the Town of Kickapoo. Theresa L. Hughes, age 55, of Readstown, was negotiating a curve and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle crossed the centerline and continued down an embankment before striking a tree and coming to rest and the bottom of the ditch. Hughes was transported by ambulance to Vernon Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
