Due to the ice storm that passed through the area on Friday, January 10, the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office was called out to multiple accidents in different townships. One of the accidents was a hit and run in the Town of Seven Mile Creek. The unknown vehicle was traveling north on County Road K when it entered the ditch and struck a power pole. The power pole broke into several pieces and the power line fell to the ground. Oakdale Electric was called out to repair the line. The deputy on scene was not able to get a description of the vehicle. The Sheriff’s Office also reported several vehicles in the ditch; however, most were able to get back on the road with a warning to slow down during icy conditions.
