Horse struck by Jeep

A Mauston woman was uninjured when the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee she was driving struck a horse east of Mauston.  The deputy said New Year’s Day 52-year old Darla Hood was traveling west on Highway 82 near 21st Avenue in the Town of Lemonweir about 6:40pm.  Hood did not see the large black horse along the shoulder of the road until she struck it.  The horse was owned by Terri Brown of Mauston.
