A New Lisbon man has been charged with OWI-8th offense, hit and run, and resisting arrest.  According to the criminal complaint, Wednesday afternoon a New Lisbon police officer responded to the intersection of West Bridge and Division Streets in the City of New Lisbon for a red pickup that had struck several vehicles and had left the scene.  The officer approached the pickup parked in the roadway with extensive front end damage and several people standing around it.  The driver was slumped over and was later identified as 42-year old David Cox.  As the officer walked Cox to the squad car, Cox began to resist.  The New Lisbon police officer and a state trooper, who had arrived to assist, were able to handcuff Cox after escorting him to the pavement.  During a court hearing, bail was set at a $10,000 signature bond.
