Highway will remain open during construction

Work to replace the Highway 82 bridge over the Wisconsin River between Juneau and Adams County has begun. Highway 82 and the existing Point Bluff Bridge will remain open to traffic during construction, which is scheduled for completion in 2019. Motorists should anticipate flagging operations and shoulder closures.

The project includes construction of the new bridge over the Wisconsin River, a second bridge structure west of the Wisconsin River to replace a deteriorated box culvert, and realignment of County Z east of the river.

County Z will be closed to through traffic between Fern Avenue and WIS 82 for a period of three weeks, tentatively scheduled for April/May 2018. The signed detour route will utilize County Z, WIS 13, and WIS 82. Access to the Point Bluff Resort will be maintained from WIS 82 along the existing alignment of County Z.
