A Tomah man has been charged in Juneau County with obstructing an officer.  The police officer said on May 1st, 2013, he attempted a traffic stop in the City of New Lisbon when the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign on South Washington Street before turning onto West Court Street.  The driver continued into a driveway of a residence in the 500-block of South Forest Street.  Twice the officer identified himself and ordered the driver to get back inside the vehicle.  Instead the driver, later identified as 27-year old Christopher Ploessl, entered the front door of the house.  The owners allowed the New Lisbon Police officer inside and allowed him to search the residence.  Ploessl was found in an upstairs bedroom hiding under the covers of a lower bunk bed.  The officer ordered Ploessl out of the bed and to show his hands.  Ploessl had apparently played golf earlier in the day with the homeowner.  Ploessl was summoned to appear in court on August 21st, 2013.
