Guard rail stops SUV from going into Lemonweir River
A Necedah man has been cited as a result of a one-vehicle accident in the City of Mauston. Police said Tuesday at 1:40pm 50-year old James Olson was traveling west on Water Street. As he came closer to the guard rail, he saw a dog or cat run onto the road from the Lemonweir River side towards Maughs Street. Olson then swerved to miss the animal and the 2006 Buick Rendezvous struck the guard rail causing damage. No one was injured. Olson was cited for ‘failure to keep vehicle under control’ and fined $126.60.
