Gas to residence turned off
An Adams man was arrested for causing a disturbance. Police said last month officers responded to a residence in the 200-block of South Grant Street in the City of Adams. Investigation revealed 38-year old Leslie Emond had been drinking and became upset because the gas had been turned off as a result of his father-in-law failing to pay the bill. Emond was yelling and swearing and punched a hole in the kitchen wall. He was transported to the Adams County Jail and then to the hospital for his hand injury. Emond was tentatively charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
