Former New Lisbon woman dies from injuries in run over
A 38-year-old woman who was run over by a City of Madison truck while sunbathing at a Madison park last month has died from her injuries. According to the Channel3000 website, Karen Remington of Windsor, formerly of New Lisbon, was sunbathing on a grassy area of James Madison Park between Lake Mendota and East Gorham Street May 23rd, 2012 when the operator of a parks truck hauling tree bark ran over her. Initially Madison police believed Remington suffered non-life threatening injuries, but officials said her condition changed. Police were informed by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday night that Remington had died at UW-Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in New Lisbon.
