A rural Mauston man was cited for fleeing an accident scene.  The deputy said 25-year old Michael Kelbel was traveling west on Highway 12/16 near Morrisey Road in the Town of Lemonweir.  He lost control while negotiating a curve.  The 1999 Volkswagen Jetta started spinning counter clockwise across the road.  The car entered the ditch striking a piece of antique farm equipment.  Kelbel fled the scene and failed to report the crash to police.  He was also cited for ‘operating after suspension-2nd offense’ and for ‘operating motor vehicle without insurance’.  His fines totaled $790.50.
