Fire victim identified in Juneau County
Authorities have released the name of the deceased man located inside a residence in the Town of Lindina earlier this week. Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson said, “the victim has been identified as 80-year old Carl Stromley. Preliminary cause of death is smoke inhalation.” Tuesday morning the Mauston Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire on Dlask Road. When fire fighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the garage area of the residence. Mauston fire personnel located the body of Stomley inside the residence. New Lisbon and Elroy Fire Departments were requested to assist.
