contributed…..Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is happy to announce that is the recipient of a Federal Speed Grant.  The Sheriff’s Department, along with the Sparta and Tomah Police Departments, will be using the grant money to conduct High Visibility Speed Enforcement within the county.  This activity will start in February and run through September. Uniformed officers from all three departments will be working together in select areas of Monroe County and conducting traffic stops for Traffic Violations.  The Sheriffs Department will also report the results of each Speed Enforcement event to the media.  If anyone has any questions about this High Visibility Speed Enforcement Grant please Contact Sgt.
