A Norwalk teenager was involved in a farming accident Friday morning. Monroe County Sheriff Pete Quirin said, “About 11am 15-year old Jacob Moore and 35-year old Doug Wallerman, also of Norwalk, were switching chopper boxes in a hay field on County Road ‘U’ in the Town of Ridgeville. Moore had just connected a chopper box to the tractor Wallerman was operating and was climbing back onto the tractor he was using when Wallerman began to pull away. The chopper box connected to Wallerman’s tractor caught the left tire on Moore’s tractor causing it to overturn on top of Moore pinning him underneath. Moore was extricated using a skid steer. Moore was transported by Wilton ambulance to Tomah Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”
