A Mauston man was taken into custody over the weekend.  Police said Saturday afternoon officers responded to a residence in the 300-block of Tremont Street in the City of Mauston for a disturbance involving a gun.  Investigation revealed 52-year old Daniel Jay had allegedly kicked the door open and entered the residence without being invited.  He appeared intoxicated and showed a handgun to a resident.  A records check showed Jay had a valid Wisconsin Concealed Carry permit.  A Preliminary Breath Test showed .206%.  He was arrested and tentatively charged with disorderly conduct and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon while under the influence of an intoxicant.
