A Beloit man has been charged in Adams County with attempting to elude a traffic officer, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, and OWI.  The deputy said on February 28th, 2013 he was traveling north on Highway 13 when he met a vehicle traveling south going 80-miles per hour.  The vehicle, being driven by 29-year old Chad Brannon, passed another south bound vehicle on the right and failed to stop for the deputy until he entered Columbia County about a half mile south of the Adams County Line.  A Wisconsin Dells officer assisted.  The deputy drew his duty weapon and ordered Brannon out of the vehicle.  Investigation revealed a partially crushed soda can with crack cocaine, two metal pipes, and a scale.  A Preliminary Breath Test showed .15.  Brannon was arrested and transported to the Adams County Jail.
