An Elroy man was arrested in the City of Mauston Wednesday night.  The deputy said about 8:30pm he saw 41-year old Michael Klingbiel driving in downtown Mauston.  A records check showed the license plate had expired last year and his driver’s license was revoked.  Further investigation revealed he had an active Juneau County warrant for child support in the amount of $525 and the license plate displayed was not registered to the vehicle.  The deputy could also smell the odor of intoxicants on his breath.  Klingbiel was not wearing a seat belt because it was broken and he had no proof of insurance.  Klingbiel was taken into custody and transported to the Juneau County Jail.  Once at the jail, Klingbiel passed the field sobriety tests but a search revealed a hydrocodone pill in his pocket.  Klingbiel has been charged with bail jumping and operating after revocation.  During a court hearing Thursday, bail was set at a $1000 signature bond and the defendant is not to drive without a valid driver’s license.
