Elderly Chicago man cited
A Chicago man was cited as a result of a car/tractor accident. The deputy said Friday evening about 6pm 87-year old Anton Herrof was traveling south on County Road ‘K’ in the Town of Lemonweir. As Herrof approached a tractor pulling a farm implement owned by Walsh Grain Farms, Herrof did not slow down and ran into the back of the implement. The 2000 red-colored Buick sedan became stuck. The front of the car was damaged. The farm implement had minor damage. The driver of the tractor, a Mauston man, 47-year old William Dedrich, was uninjured. Herrof and a passenger, 86-year old Maria Herrof, were also uninjured. Herrof was cited for ‘auto following too closely’ and fined $200.50.
