Driver falls asleep
A Lyndon Station woman was cited as a result of an accident over the weekend. The deputy said Saturday morning about 2:40am 30-year old Amanda Steinke was traveling south on Prospect Street in the Village of Lyndon Station when she fell asleep and struck two legally parked vehicles owned by the same person. Steinke crashed into the back of a 1995 Chevy Tahoe. The impact pushed the SUV into a parked 1991 GMC Suburban. Steinke was uninjured. She was cited for inattentive driving, OWI-1st offense, and operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Her fines totaled $1822.90.
