contributed……Public speaking is a private fear for many adults. It can bring on anxiety, nervousness, loss of words and panic attacks. Welcome to Toastmasters! Are you looking into improving your public speaking skills? Perhaps you’d like to overcome a fear of public speaking. Or how about your leadership and management skills? Everyone, regardless of their background or career, could improve their presentation abilities. Toastmasters International is a worldwide, non-profit organization devoted specifically to that. Six Rivers Toastmasters is meeting in Mauston and you should check it out if any of the aforementioned appealed to you.

The next Six Rivers Toastmasters Club meeting will be on November 1 (Thursday). The meeting will be held at the Hatch Public Library Community Room in Mauston and will start promptly at 7 p.m. The mission of Toastmasters International is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication skills which in turn will foster self-confidence and personal growth.
