A Racine man has been charged in Juneau County with disorderly conduct-domestic abuse. The deputy said early Friday morning about 1:46am he responded to a campsite on 26th Avenue in the Town of Marion for a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed the wife of 46-year old Shawn Baker’s shirt was ripped and she had a large bruise on her arm. Her husband had been upset with her because she was visiting another campsite and was gone when he returned to their camper. Baker allegedly broke the window of their camper and grabbed her arm. The deputies searched the area but were unable to locate him so they requested mutual aid from the Mauston PD. When Officer Eric Sanner and Mauston PD K-9 dog, Kantor, responded and joined in the search, Baker then came from a wooded area with his hands in the air. Baker was handcuffed. He told the deputies he had been hiding in the water and was cold. Baker was only wearing his boxer shorts. Law enforcement could smell the odor of intoxicants on his breath. A Preliminary Breath Test showed .145%. Baker was transported to the Juneau County Jail.
