A Mauston man was taken into custody early this morning. Police said about 2:30am an officer responded to a residence in the 100-block of Elm Street in the City of Mauston for a domestic disturbance. The woman who reported the incident wanted her live-in boyfriend removed. Following an investigation, 35-year old Patrick Michel was arrested for disorderly conduct. The Mauston Police Officer heard a commotion in the living room and went to assist the two Juneau County deputies who were telling Michel not to resist. Michel was lying on the coffee table with both deputies trying to handcuff him. The Mauston officer assisted and Michel was placed in the backseat of the squad car and transported to the Juneau County Jail. A search at the jail revealed a baggie of marijuana in Michel’s pocket. He has been tentatively charged with disorderly conduct-domestic abuse, resisting an officer, and possession of THC.
