“A Mauston man found deceased at his residence Sunday morning died as a result of an accidental gunshot wound,” says Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson.  The death investigation of 28-year old Joshua Bader revealed that Bader died from a gunshot wound to his upper leg.  Investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner revealed Bader was out with friends on the evening of Friday, August 23rd, 2013.  At some point he returned to his residence alone and was handling a .22-caliber handgun when the gun accidently discharged striking him in the upper leg.  A short time later, Bader succumbed to his injury.  Bader’s Dad tried calling Joshua and went to his residence in Hamm’s Trailer Court east of Mauston Sunday morning and found the body.  The handgun was located at the scene.”  “While some follow up investigation is on-going, there is absolutely no evidence that the shooting was not accidental,” said Oleson.
