Damaged Mailboxes In Two Townships
There have been a slew of reports of people damaging mailboxes during the night of November 7th. In the Town of Seven Mile Creek, someone ran over several mailboxes and their posts. The officer on scene noticed that there was oil left on the roadway suggesting that the vehicle was damaged. He also noticed that there was a bag of beer cans left on the side of the road near one of the damaged mailboxes.
The second incident happened in the Town of Lemonweir on Townline Road. Someone had put firecrackers and a golf ball in the victim’s mailbox, and lit the firecrackers. The inside of the mailbox was blackened. The officer could not see any visible impressions in the gravel where the mailbox was located. Both incidents are being looked at by the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office.
