A New Lisbon man has been charged with criminal trespassing and criminal damage to property. According to the complaint, early in January a Mauston police officer responded to an apartment in the 100-block of La Crosse Street in the City of Mauston for a break-in. Investigation revealed the door frame and chain were damaged. A neighbor told the officer she had seen 36-year old Dale Schweizer inside the apartment without permission from the renter. Schweizer allegedly told the neighbor that he had nowhere to go and knew the renter was in jail. The apartment was very messy and one of the kitchen windows had been damaged. Schweizer is summoned to appear in court on February 20th, 2013.
