Crash west of Necedah
An Appleton man was cited as a result of a two vehicle accident west of Necedah Wednesday night. The deputy said about 9:30pm 63-year old Charles Mompier stopped on Highway 21 near 22nd street when he saw a ‘Road Closed Ahead’ sign. Mompier was looking at a map for an alternative route when a Camp Douglas woman, 41-year old Dawn Dittburner, struck the Mompier red colored 2010 Dodge van. Dittburner told the deputy she was traveling approximately 55-miles per hour before seeing the stopped van. Her Kia Spectra left approximately 30-feet of skid marks before impact. Both drivers and a passenger stated they had no serious injuries. Mompier was cited for ‘improper parking/standing of vehicle’ and fined 134-dollars. Dittburner was cited for ‘inattentive driving’ and fined almost $188.
