Crash in City of Elroy
A Hillsboro woman was cited as a result of a two-vehicle accident in the City of Elroy Wednesday morning. The deputy said at 8:40am 61-year old Judith Sosinsky was traveling north on Highway 80 near Highway 71 when she lost control of the 2008 Chevy HHR while negotiating a snow-covered curve. The SUV struck a south bound 1997 Chrysler Cirrus head-on. The car was being driven by an Elroy woman, 57-year old Betty Micheaux. Micheaux was seriously injured and medically transported to Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston. She was cited for “operating motor vehicle without insurance’ and fined $200.50. Sosinsky was uninjured. She was cited for ‘driving too fast for conditions’ and fined $213.10.
