The Mauston City Council awarded the bid for a new pickup truck to the lowest bidder Tuesday night.  Rudig Jensen in New Lisbon submitted a bid of 20-thousand 839-dollars for a 2013 Ford F150 truck while Kudick’s in Mauston submitted a bid of 23-thousand 398-dollars for a 2013 Chevy Silverado, a 25-hundred dollar difference.  The motion passed on a 6 to 1 vote with Alderman Dan May voting ‘no’.  May said, “we should support our local businesses, Kudick donates to our police department’s drug dog and other safety programs.”
