Chicago man strikes stop sign
A Chicago man was cited Sunday afternoon as a result of an incident in the Village of Lyndon Station. The deputy said about 3 o’clock 56-year old Antonia Casillas was traveling east on Highway 12/16. As he attempted a right turn onto Pine Street, Casillas slid through the intersection and struck a stop sign. The 2009 Kia Rondo continued and damaged a sign and yard display including two wagon wheels in the 300-block of Pine Street. The driver admitted to driving too fast. Casillas was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control and fined $213.10.
