Three area Mauston individuals have been charged this week with being a party to the death last year of a Mauston man.  According to the criminal complaint, 48-year old Darin Skiff, 46-year old Jessica Sanders, and 52-year old Elizabeth Orr have been charged with being a party to 1st Degree Reckless homicide in the death of 29-year old Jeremy Haas.  On November 9th, 2011, an officer responded to a residence in the City of Mauston for a possible drug overdose.  Upon arrival, the officer saw Haas lying flat on his back on the bed with his feet on the floor.  The officer could not feel a pulse and Haas’ skin color appeared ashen or grey.  The Juneau County Coroner pronounced Haas dead that night and an autopsy was conducted at UW-Hospital in Madison the next day.  The results indicated Haas had died of fentanyl toxicity.  Investigation revealed Jessica Sanders had allegedly driven Haas to a location where he purchased fentanyl from Darren Skiff who allegedly sold the patches for Elizabeth Orr.
