Capitol Ceremony Celebrates Title 1 Schools
Area Title 1 Schools will be recognized Tueday at the State Capitol Rotunda. State Superintendent Tony Evers will honor a total of 167 schools for meeting the state’s test participation, attendance, and dropout goals, among other criteria for schools with a high percentage of economically disadvantaged children. Area schools being recognized are Grand Marsh Elementary and Roche-A-Cri Elementary Schools in Adams County, La Farge Elementary and Middle Schools, Mauston’s Grayside Elementary School, and Royall Elementary School. Each school will receive a plaque and $500 for use on any school-related activity.
