MADISON, Wis. (AP) – The Legislature’s budget-writing committee is headed to the Wisconsin Dells for its latest hearing on Gov. Scott Walker’s two-year spending plan.  The Joint Finance Committee is scheduled to take testimony Wednesday at the Kalahari resort. The hearing is the third of four the Republican-controlled committee has planned to hear from the public.  At previous hearings near Milwaukee and in Green Bay the panel has heard from people about Walker’s proposal to expand the private school voucher program, freeze public school spending increases and reject federal funding for a Medicaid expansion.  The last of the four hearings is scheduled for April 18 in Baldwin. After that the committee will return to Madison to begin taking votes on changes to the $68 billion budget.
