A Black River Falls woman was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon as a result of a two-vehicle accident in Monroe County.  Sheriff Pete Quirin said, “about 4:30pm 36-year old Candice Demarr Brandt was traveling east on Highway 21 in the Township of La Grange.  As she made a left turn into a private driveway, Brandt struck a Peterbilt semi traveling west on Highway 21.  Brandt had to be extricated from the 2008 Chevrolet Uplander by the Tomah Area Ambulance Rescue.  Brandt was initially transported to Tomah Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital with serious injuries.  The driver of the semi, 42-year old David Juen of La Crosse, was uninjured.”
