A Juneau County Judge denies bond modification.  A Mauston woman, 36-year old Heidi Madeja, appeared in court Monday afternoon via video conferencing from the Juneau County Jail.  Madeja had written a letter to Judge Paul Curran requesting a reduction in bond from $1000 cash to a signature bond.  Madeja was caught burglarizing Phillips Healthmart earlier this month.  Judge Curran commented before denying the bond modification, “Madeja was found with 800-narcotic pills in her sweatshirt pockets when arrested.  It appears the drugs were not just for personal use.  She is a danger to the public.”
