Body recovered from burned car ID
Authorities have identified the body found in a burned out car near Norwalk last month as a New Lisbon woman. Monroe County Sheriff Pete Quirin, “the body of a person discovered in the burning vehicle on September 18th, 2012 has been identified by the Wisconsin State Crime Lab through DNA analysis as 33-year old Karen Koca of New Lisbon. The cause of death has yet to be determined. The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s department, the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, and the State Crime Lab. The car fire was reported about 8am Tuesday morning, September 18th, off County Road ‘T’ in the Township of Ridgeville. The car was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. They could see a human body inside the car with Minnesota license plates.
