The American Transmission Company has narrowed it routes for the proposed Badger Coulee Transmission Line Project to just two options.  ATC has proposed an approximately 170-mile, 345kv high voltage line from north of La Crosse to northern Dane County.  One proposed route travels through Black River Falls down the Interstate 94 corridor to Tomah than along I90/94 through New Lisbon, Mauston, and the Dells.  The second proposed route starts near Holmen, through Onalaska to Cashton, along Highway 33 to Ontario, then Elroy, Lyndon Station, and Lake Delton to northern Dane County.   ATC-Proposed-Route-Map-for-Fall-2012  The American Transmission Company will host an Open House in Mauston Monday, October 29th, 2012, from 1 until 7pm at Anjero’s Sports Bar and Grill Banquet Facility.  The public is invited to discuss the project and provide feedback.   The American Transmission Company will submit the two proposed routes to the Public Service Commission in early 2013.  If the project is approved, the PSC will select one of the two proposed routes to be ordered and built.
