An Adams man has been accused of arson.  Police said on Tuesday, November 27th, 2012, 18-year old Allen Lamont allegedly started a vehicle on fire parked in the 200-block of N. Cedar Street in the City of Adams.  He used a lighter, a roll of toilet paper, and a can of bug spray and intentionally started the fire in the front driver’s seat.  Another individual, a 17-year old Adams boy is accused of being a party to the crime.  The juvenile allegedly threw a brick through the rear window of the vehicle and then fled the scene with Lamont.  Lamont told the officer he was peer pressured into it.  He did it as a way to be respect.  Lamont was arrested and tentatively charged with arson.  The 17-year old boy has been tentatively charged with being a party to the crime.
